WHAT GOES INTO MAKING A RECORD?
We are committed to presenting you with only the highest-quality recordings. "Take My Picture" was produced in analogue (yep, that means old-school magnetic tape reels) with all sorts of awesome vintage instruments. That's the way our heroes did it and it sounds better that way. It took us six months to record and several more to mix and master the tracks. This process included studio rental in San Francisco and Brooklyn, great engineers, guest musicians, mixing, mastering, video production, and publicity.
It's been a long ride, but we built an incredible team, and are really excited about the results!
WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING IT?
We are lovers of recorded sound. We know you are too. Maybe there's that song that you listen to every day on the way to work, or that soundtrack you turn on whenever you're with your pals, or that special playlist you save for intimate time with a special someone.
We believe that there is inherent value in recording music for people to enjoy over and over again. Audio recording is our canvas. As a band, we stay creative to keep you (our fans!) engaged and to reach new audiences.
WHERE DO I FIT IN?
Since record sales only account for a small portion of our income as a band, we support the band through live performances and personal contributions. That's where you come in! We rely on you as our fans and supporters to help us continue to produce original music, tour, and promote American roots music world-wide.
To make this as simple as possible, we've devised a simple, 4-tier support structure starting with digital downloads and hard copy CD's, and moving up to higher level donations. Every little bit helps. If you can't afford to contribute, consider spreading the word on social media, telling your friends and family about the band, or even getting your friends, organization, school or community center to sponsor a performance!
